Foreclosures Hit Record Levels Over Last Three Months

I just read an article on CNNMoney.com about the record pace of foreclosures in the United States over the past 3 months. 937,840 homeowners received foreclosure notifications of one sort or another during this time period! According to the article, that means one in every 136 U.S. homes were in foreclosure, which is a 5% increase from the second quarter and a 23% jump over the third quarter of 2008.  The article also indicates there is no end in sight. What many of these homeowners facing foreclosure don’t realize is that there are options available to them. They may be able to defend their foreclosure or file for a chapter 13 bankruptcy to keep their home. If you are facing foreclosure it is important to know your options. Contact an attorney or a legal aid group in your community to seek assistance in dealing with your situation. You may have options!

If you are in Miami-Dade County please feel free to contact my law firm to discuss your specific situation. Don’t face foreclosure alone!
